Many of you may have noticed that when I grade your assignments I provide additional feedback. If you’re not satisfied with a grade for your assignment I would recommend using my comments to help guide revisions to your work. Once you have made your revisions or added any missing detail or support to your assignment you can resubmit it in the dropbox. If you have earned a new score it will be reflected in your gradebook!

Hello everyone,
I hope everyone is ready for the weekend and that you have some good plans (maybe do some class work...but just for me). I wanted to let everyone know that we are starting our first club at NUVHS and we are looking for students who would be interested in participating in an Online Version of The Model United Nations. NUVHS will be partnering with O-MUN to make it possible for our students to collaborate with students from around the World in debate about some hot topics that impact us all. If you think you may be interested please let me know at [email protected] and I will send you a link to our club information and Q&A Session for Monday, February 6th at 5:00pm PST. I'm looking forward to hearing from you, Mr. Braden Good news everyone,
We will now be able to meet in our virtual office throughout the week in the evenings. For the complete list of office hour times and the link to the virtual office click on the “Contact Information & Office Hours” tab on our class homepage. See you soon, Mr. Braden So far we have had some great discussions started on the class discussion boards! If you haven't received credit for your work on the discussion boards, please make sure you are following all of the directions.
You original post should be a minimum of 1 paragraph (5-7 sentences) and when you are responding to a classmate you should provide a complete thought. Tell them what you agree with in their post, what did you like, what don't you agree with, why do you feel this way. Responding with a 1 word answer or 1 sentence answer will not earn your credit for participation. As always please be respectful of each others thoughts and keep up the great work! Mr. I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend and took the time to reflect on the meaning of the holiday!
I wanted to make sure everyone understands the importance of the assignments for each Unit. Please understand that your assignments will carry a large portion of your grade for the course you are taking. It will not be enough to simply take the quizzes, especially if you are aiming for a good grade in your course. The assignments for each Unit are designed to ensure that you fully understand the content of the Unit and will also help prepare you for the Quizzes and Exams. Please let me know if you have any questions. Mr. Braden I just wanted to make sure everyone knew that next Monday, January 16th is Martin Luther King Day. I will not be in the office on Monday so any work turned in over the weekend will not be graded until Tuesday, January 17th.
I hope everyone enjoys their long weekend and that you all take a moment to read about Martin Luther King and the Civil Rights Movement here in The United States. Here is a good source that lists the achievements and awards won by Dr. King - http://www.savannahtribune.com/news/2011-01-12/Health/The_Achievements_and_Accomplishments_of_Dr_Martin_.html Here is a link that briefly outlines the Civil Rights Movement - http://www.cyberlearning-world.com/nhhs/project/2000/views/histcivilrights.htm (Note: Emmett Till was the young man killed in Mississippi not Tiff) Mr. Braden Hello everyone,
I just wanted to remind you that each week we will have multiple discussion topics. I have noticed that many of the Units only have a discussion started for one of our topics. There will be at least two discussion topics for each Unit. When responding to discussion topics make sure your responses are a minimum of one paragraph, and always be respectful of your classmates thoughts! Mr. Braden If you are having trouble accessing your assignments that means you haven't completed the student information quiz yet. To access the short quiz please click on the "Student Information/Questionnaire" tab located under the "Course Home" section of the classroom. Read the information and notices on this page and then take the quiz located at the very bottom of the page. After you complete this quiz your assignments will be unlocked. Let me know if you have any questions.
